Etiquette question/promoting own business

I'm a boxing coach/group exercise instructor. I just started working at a large gym and I'm in the process of getting NASM certified.

I'm working on building my own website/Instagram profile so that I can start posting content and when I get certified I will have both of those things established.

Was wondering- Is it a bad idea if I ask a friend to take promo photos of me at the gym that I teach at and then use those photos for my personal website (which I hope will eventually help me get clients outside the gym)? Would you ask for permission to take the photos first, or just do it? It's a very large gym and the photos should be fairly nondescript, but anyone who has been to the gym will likely know that the photos were taken there.

Also-I know the gym likes to tag fitness instructors on Instagram in their posts, and likes it if we tag ourselves or repost their posts. Is it acceptable if my Instagram account has a link to my website which I hope to one day book personal training clients on and also highlights the other facilities I teach at?

Thanks! Just trying to get some perspective so I'm stepping on anyone's toes.
