I tried posting his on DIY, but it was immediately removed, not sure why I‘m putting Epoxy floor sealer on my garage floor later today (followed all instructions and all he prepping is done per manufacturer specs). The garage floor extends out about 4” beyond the garage door, when the door is closed. Essentially the 4” portion extends outside, and is exposed to the elements. The instructions on the epoxy explicitly state that it will not hold up over time outside. I live in upstate NY close to Lake Ontario and we get significant snowfall, so I could see this being an issue should I paint this portion of the flooring. One of my neighbors has a similar setup, and he simply painted the whole thing. Has anyone run into this before? Should I paint only up to where the garage door comes down? Any suggestions would be welcome.
